I'm a mom of two young girls currently attending VWS. We've been a Waldorf family since we lived in Mexico, and when we moved to Vancouver we knew VWS was the way to go. I've always worked with children and families as a child psychologist, childbirth educator, and birth doula. I truly believe that a generation of children raised with love, respect, and reverence can change the world.

    Negar Amini

I am a Learning and Development consultant specializing in integrating L&D into program development. I have worked with small businesses and NGOs to streamline processes, enhance employee productivity and satisfaction , and drive growth. My expertise lies in understanding the interplay of culture, relationships and social practices in diverse environments. When working with children and youth, my approach centers on cultivating self-reflexive practices, including critical thinking, inquiry, and reasoning skills, to spark the joy of learning and empower individuals to take control of their learning journey.

On a personal note, I am a proud mother to our 5-year-old daughter, who has a rare genetic condition known as Kabuki. She is my greatest teacher as she reminds me to smile and be happy every day! She is a bright and caring girl, an avid music connoisseur, with minor challenges in speech production as well as fine and gross motor activities. I am a dedicated yoga practitioner of over 15 years, an instructor, a former runner, and an avid hiker. Delighted to have chosen Waldorf education as the path for learning and development for my family and I am humbled to be a part of this school year's PAC community!

I've been a VWS parent and volunteer (and sometimes employee) since our son joined Red Rose kindergarten in 2012. Whether it's being a class rep or joining the Winter Fair Committee, Spring Fair Committee, Playground Committee and AWSNA Accreditation Steering Committee, or subbing in preschool, kindergarten, after care, at the Grade School office and the High School office, or bringing in food for an event or volunteering on Hunter Park walks, I've had the absolute privilege of participating in this amazing community for many years. Graduated with a law degree from University of Toronto law school and an undergraduate degree in business from Queen's University School of Business. Joining the PAC as a high school parent is something I am very excited about and I look forward to fostering a vital whole school community.
